The KBA Cup Final was played on Friday night at Kirkcudbright between Castle Douglas and Dalbeattie.

The 2-bowl pairs was a close affair with the Castle Douglas pair of Ronnie Duncan and Bill Brydson coming out on top 16 - 15 against Stewart Tait and Billy McMinn.

In the 4-bowl pairs Terry McElroy and Graeme Maxwell finished strongly to defeat James Harper and Stevie McMinn 16 - 12.

The triples went Castle Douglas’s way with Derek Harper, Tom Maxwell and Allan Green beating James Curzen, Dennis McKnight and Joe McCall 21 - 10.

Colin McCleary, Callum McCleary, Gaving Green and Hugh Robertson took the fours 27 - 14 against Dalbeattie’s Tommy Feenan, Rab mason, David Gibson and Ronnie Gibson to give Castle Douglas an overall win 80 - 51. 

President Murray Cairnie presented the KBA Cup to President Norman Davies of Castle Douglas.
