Stewartry start the 2009 Hamilton Trophy with a win.

With Castle Douglas green flooded the game was switched to Kirkcudbright, where Stewartry manged to start the season with a close win over Glasgow City. All the games were close but Stewartry had four winning rinks with the highest up being Brian McClune, Bruce Richardson, Wig True & Eric Rogerson (Welcome back Brian).
